Black Magic Bachelor's Button Seeds

Centaurea cyanus

With vivid color, 'Black Magic' makes great dried or cut flowers, while edible petals make a stunning garnish to salads, crudités platters, or dinner plates. Bachelor's button, also called cornflower, will "naturalize"; it self-sows for another crop of flowers the following season, and birds love the seed heads!

    Not planted yet.

I haven't planted these yet, but if they do as well as last year's (Spring 2026), I'm certain they will be fine and beautiful next year.

    Just lovely

I planted these with the master thin blend for an edible flower garden and they look.so nice together. The black and orange is ready for fall, bright and beautiful with many heads of flowers. Weekly dead heading keeps this gorgeous plant fully blooming for months

Stunning color, stellar germination and handsome

As a gardener, I love to find flowers that have colors that you don’t see everyday. This checks the mark. Wonderful silver leaves and dramatic dark flowers. Excellent for both modern or traditional gardens
